Our eyes met over my coffee cup. I’d looked up to see what was disturbing my caffeine addiction revelry, the chatty hum of the coffee shop had changed to a reverent hush of gasping females. He stood tall, kilt swirling from his entrance, tanned handsome face breaking into a startling smile as he saw me sitting there. I carefully replacing my mug on its saucer and allowed myself an easy grin back, breathlessly, feeling the envy of every woman in the room as he bounded over like an enthusiastic puppy.
